Episode Progress: 03/31
I will drop notes and things here for Arden as I watch the episodes and she can comment on how things need to be added/edited/modified as she sees fit. Yay! We will see if I want to ... attempt S3.

THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN
He beheads a priest next, a powerful witch who had been holding his head hostage. It is later revealed by Katrina Crane that when they murdered each other, their bloodlines merged and she was able to cast a spell that when the Horseman was awakened again, Crane would be as well, which is why Crane resurfaces in 2013. The Horseman is in search of his head, and once he has it, the Apocalypse will begin. The Horseman does have one weakness, however - it cannot be seen in daylight.
MOLOCH
102Also has the ability to reanimate his pawns to serve a greater purpose. Poor Andy Brooks.
103It was later revealed that when the Mills sisters saw Moloch, they were unconscious and disappeared for four days - the entire town was looking for them, and another man, Mr. Gillespie, happened to see Moloch at the time and didn't say anything as well.
THE WITNESSES
102Witnesses seem prone to cryptic visions and visitations from the dead. In this particular instance, it's August Corbin, trying to help her realize that she needs to move past her fear to do what she is meant to do.
103Also occasionally prophetic dreams, where she saw one of the victims of an upcoming attack before she had met her - this woman also happened to be her sister's psychiatrist.
THE COVENS
102One of the witches of the dark coven was resurrected shortly after Ichabod Crane's arrival in 2013. She teamed up with Andy Brooks to murder those who had burned her at the stake - with a command from Moloch that with each person she killed, she regained more of herself. It is also revealed that witches draw their power from the lunar cycle.
It is later revealed that in the days of the war, Serilda of Abaddon, who was the high priestess of the dark coven and a worshiper of Moloch. She would light entire encampments on fire to try and help the British side of the war. The Sisterhood of the Radiant Heart used white magic to weaken her, allowing a hunting party to capture her and she was condemned to death by fire. As her last words, she said "By the turn of the Blood Moon, the ashes of your ancestry will be mine. Your flesh will be my flesh, I will live again." She needs to complete her resurrection by the time the blood moon wanes by killing the descendants of the magistrate who condemned her. While Ichabod and Abbie were not able to save Jeremy Firth in time, they managed to find the descendants of Robert Firth's daughter, a boy named Kyle Hammington. It is revealed that Kyle was adopted, and she steals the ashes of his father who is the last blood Hammington.
To complete the spell, she needs her bones, which were buried in the tunnels with the other witches, for which she enlists Andy Brooks' help again. She finds her bones and begins the ritual while Abbie and Crane search the tunnels for her. Before she dies (again) it's is revealed that Katrina Crane, leader of the Sisterhood of the Radiant Heart and the witch who bound her power, is being held in "the world between worlds" aka Purgatory by Moloch.
THE SANDMAN (Ro'kenhronteys)
They go to see Jenny in the mental facility, she gives them a clue - "It's all over but the crying" - and that her conscience is clear. She didn't know if Abbie could say the same. Abbie also reveals that there was another person who saw Moloch, a Mr. Gillespie, who had originally found the girls, and he lied about what he saw as well.
The scene then cuts to Mr. Gillespie, alone in his workshop, and he drifts off while hard at work. He is then confronted by a tall, white, humaniod creature. He fires his gun on her and when Abbie and Crane arrive on the scene, he's holding his wife hostage and only wants to speak to Abbie. Abbie goes in to meet with him, his eyes are glazed over like Dr. Vega, and while Abbie tries to get him to talk, the Sandman appears behind her. Abbie is warned that the Sandman is coming for her next, and that the next time she falls asleep, she's dead, before taking his own life.
Abbie and Crane go back to the archives to research what the Sandman might be. Dream spirits have been around as long as humans have been dreaming, some friendly, some not. They identify the Sandman as Ro'kenhronteys, a Mohawk dream demon. Crane learned of him from them from the Mohwaks who worked with him in one of the wars, and was told a fairy tale, where the spirit would come for those who turned a blind eye on what happened to their neighbor. Crane takes her to visit a Mohawk shaman who explains that the demon will taunt you first, rub your mess in the pain you caused, and then force you to take your own life.
They enter the dream plane or the "valley of death": the good go to Heaven, the evil go to Hell, and everyone left in between goes to Ro'kenhronteys.
While the demon can't be fought on the mortal plane, the Shaman gives them a tea that allows them to enter the dream world to take the fight to him. Once they're in the dream world, the spirit chooses the challenge they have to face, and if you die in the dream, you die in the real world.
The tea to enter the dream plane: jasmine, cherry root, hops. The tea puts you to sleep, and it's combined with scorpion venom to help you control the dream.
When Crane and Abbie enter the dream plane, they're initially separated. Ro'kenhronteys corners Abbie first. She tries to shoot it, but there's no effect. The demon takes her back to the time when she betrayed her sister and lied about seeing the demon and confronted her again, giving her a second opportunity to tell the truth. At first she denies it again, when Crane finally joins them and the demon turns on him instead. In order to stop him, Abbie confesses what she did to the demon, and the demon turns to glass, which Abbie shatters with a chair.
